About Rev. Dr. Karen Blacks
Rev. Dr. Karen Blacks believes that ministry should transcend boundaries and touch hearts everywhere, spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ. Dr. Blacks utilizes technology to share God's word with people near and far.
She serves as the Associate Minister, and Minister of Women's Initiatives at her home church in Westchester County, New York. In this role, she passionately guides and empowers women along their spiritual journeys, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose within the church community. Her dedication to uplifting women is not only reflected in her broader ministry but also in her active involvement in her church.
Dr. Blacks is the founder of Women of God in the World, a welcoming community of over 10,000 women from 30+ countries. This faith-based group provides a space for sharing, studying, and supporting one another in their faith. Dr. Blacks also founded VOICES of Women of God in the World, which provides a platform for women preachers, teachers, and speakers to share their gifts with the world. Additionally, the Women of God in the World Music Experience is the place for sharing and listening to inspiring music worldwide.
Dr. Blacks holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from New York Theological Seminary. She holds a Certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School Online. Dr. Blacks has a heart for volunteering and can be found distributing food to those in need in the White Plains, New York community. She serves on the Town of Bedford Prison Relations Advisory Committee, is a member of the Westchester Black Women's Political Caucus, and is on the board of the Women's Empowerment Forum located in Liberia, Africa.
In her book, "Experiencing God in the Ordinary - Reflections on the Closeness of God," Dr. Blacks reveals how God intimately touches our lives. She offers insights that remind readers of God's deep concern for each person.
Dr. Blacks' greatest joy comes from inspiring and encouraging others to become all that God has created them to be.

On a personal note... I really enjoy participating in activities that inspire and encourage people to become the best version of themselves. Life is a journey that provides each of us with a unique path that leads to wholeness, fulfillment, and overall joyful living. Whether speaking, teaching, writing, or otherwise engaged with people, the message and method is the same, to lend support, encouragement, and compassion to each person I meet. There is a light and gift from God within each of us. It is my hope that each person would discover their gift and purpose.
